Gleichweit-K-AN2 – Popular mouthpiece for synthetic reeds, developed with Professor Alexander Neubauer (Vienna Symphony Orchestra)

The Gleichweit K-AN2 is the third version of the successful K-AN series, developed in close collaboration with Professor Alexander Neubauer , principal clarinetist of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra . Designed specifically for synthetic reeds such as the Légère German Cut , this model is particularly popular with professionals and ambitious players.

With a facing length of 33 mm and a tip opening of 0.98 mm, the K-AN2 combines powerful response , stable intonation , and a balanced playing feel with slightly more flexibility than the original K-AN, while offering more compact control than the K-AN1. This balance makes it one of the most popular models among equal-width mouthpieces for synthetic reeds .
